Originally developed by St Benedict in the 6th century, Lectio Divina is a method that Catholic contemplative have been using for many centuries as way of reflecting and praying deeply into particular Bible passages. Many Christians from different faith traditions today also find it a powerful vehicle for their own spiritual growth and prayer.
