Seventeen consultations were held at Quaker Hill Conference Center between 1980 and 1997. These were co-sponsored by Quaker Hill Conference Center and the Earlham School of Religion. Wilmer Cooper, Dean of Earlham School of Religion, and Eldon Harzman, Director of Quaker Hill, played the lead role in organizing these consultations. All US yearly meetings were invited to appoint representatives to these consultations ensuring that the consultations represented a diversity of viewpoints reflecting the different branches of North American Quakerism. Each consultation was on a subject considered to be of deep interest and importance to all Friends.
