Truth doth flourish, flourish as the rose

Plants do grow, do grow a-top of the hills
Upon them the lambs do skip & play

Never heed the tempests nor the storms
Never heed the floods nor the rains
For the Seed Christ is over all
Over all the See Christ doth reign

William Guthe was a student at Pendle Hill in the early 1970s and encountered this epistle by George Fox. He felt it spoke to the turmoil of the times and how God’s power can overcome this. He set the words to music. A fuller quotation from the epistle is here.

You can listen to the tune its song page in The Music Box.
